Cary Hospital Starts Meatless Mondays

Starting Monday, January 14th, Points West Café will feature a meatless main entrée every Monday to encourage employees and visitors to try a meatless meal at least one day per week.

Going meatless just one day a week improves your diet by reducing saturated fat and increasing plant-based foods.

Why is this important?  Decreasing saturated fat in your diet leads to better health and helps prevent chronic illnesses such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, and obesity.

For the launch of Meatless Monday, Cary Hospital Points West Café will feature a Grilled Portobello Mushroom Sandwich with pesto sauce, curried lentils over brown rice, and North African Gumbo. 

Not so sure about going meatless? Stop by to try some delicious samples. 

Other menu items planned for January include butternut squash and bean enchiladas, eggplant curry, vegetarian lasagna, veggie taco bar, and pasta fagioli and much more!
