Emergency Response in Wake County: Sudden Cardiac Arrest

The insightful and educational #CodeSTEMI Documentary Series recently visited North Carolina to explore the Wake County EMS system and the processes that are in place to respond to patients who experience sudden cardiac arrest. Interviews with the Wake County EMS medical director, Brent Myers, MD; paramedics, nurses and emergency room doctors, as well as actual patient profiles, help give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the system… How does it work? What practices help ensure successful patient outcomes? What improvements can be made? Much of the video footage and several interviews took place directly at WakeMed.

Watch the second of two episodes following a Wake County Code STEMI.
